Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa

Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa

This five star hotel offers all the luxuries of an international hotel whilst guests can still enjoy the authenticity of an African experience. The beautiful architecture, lush gardens and infinity pool overlook the Indian Ocean, and the good food and service have set the standard for high-quality tourism in northern Mozambique.

There are classic ocean-facing rooms, fully equipped self-catering villas, and new spacious courtyard rooms and suites. There are also conference facilities for up to 200 delegates, with smaller conference rooms available. The newly-opened Sanctuary Spa, has a steam chamber and wet and dry treatment rooms, an outside treatment area, a seaside hydro pool and a juice bar.

Clube Naval or the 'Activity Centre' has a dive shop which has canoes, hoby cats and all sorts of non-motorised water sports, tennis courts, volleyball court and a second swimming pool - all included in the rate for hotel guests. The bar with television is a local hang out, the food is good and drinks are cheaper than at the main hotel. Non-residents of the hotel are able to use the facilities but will be charged accordingly. A short walk along the water's edge and you will find yourself on Wimbe Beach - a long white stretch of sand where you can sample some of the local freshly caught seafood in one the vibrant local restaurants and bars.

The style of the hotel evokes Mozambique's history of trade with the Arab world, and the traditional dhows still sail by the hotel. You may be able to spot migrating humpback whales in season and Pemba's resident dolphins from the beach in front of the hotel.

Situated a mere five minute shuttle bus ride from the airport, and a five minute drive into the centre of town, Pemba Beach Hotel offers the highest quality accommodation in Pemba.
