Ulala is situated on the endless white sands of beautiful Murrebue beach, around 25 minutes drive from Pemba. Emmanuelle and Georges are the owners and are great hosts. They will prepare super meals for you with a mix of French and local flair, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and informal. For camping, you can't beat Nacole for a truly magnificent location. Set on the inside of Pemba Bay, minutes away from the airport, there is a 100 hectare bush camp right on the beach. There are very nice chalets, two of which can sleep four people, a bar where you can get beers and soft drinks, BBQ/braai & self-catering facilities and very clean ablutions. It is tranquil, with beautiful sunsets to be seen across the bay. The owner will show you the amazing birdlife on the property, and there is safe swimming and snorkelling in between the mangroves. The sea is usually calm as it is situated on the sheltered inside of the bay. Although not necessary all year round, a 4x4 is advisable during the rainy months (Dec - April) to get in and out of town. Owners Brenda & Rudi Franck are happy to pick guests up from the airport or town.
