Game fishing

Game fishing is excellent in and around Pemba, common catches being sailfish, yellow-fin tuna, dorado and king mackerel. Again Lazarus Bank is most popular amongst serious fisherman, where a record breaking fish was recently caught on fly. The protected bay and of course the Quirimba islands also offer fine opportunities for salt water fly-fishing, including bonefish and barracuda, and catching game fish with fly gear is increasingly popular. Several operators have boats available for full or half-day charters, with equipment.

Broadbill and other boats may be available for charters around the Quirimbas and to St Lazarus Banks – contact Kaskazini for prices and more information.
