Chuíba Bay Lodge is in a league of its own as far as accommodation close to Pemba is concerned. The lodge is located on Chuíba’s beautiful and pristine fairy-tale white beach.
There are currently six spacious, exquisitely designed bedrooms combining modern furniture design with African art and stunning paintings, making each room unique and very luxurious. Enormous bathrooms boast huge tubs as well as a separate shower, and tinted floor to ceiling windows offer a view to private walled gardens. The bedrooms are arranged into two groups of three, and face onto a landscaped courtyard, with swimming pool and sun lounge area. Each courtyard also has its own bar, lounge and dining room with satellite TV and internet access. The main reception and lounge area has a grand piano, library, and cosy and comfy chairs for you to either listen to music, read a good book or catch up with the news on television.
Guests also have access to a fully-equipped air-conditioned gym. For those who prefer to take exercise in the warm azure waters of the Indian Ocean, the beach is just a minute away by foot, passing through an area of indigenous bush and a fringe of coconut palms.
Dine under the stars by the pool or in the restaurant which offers a good selection of dishes from the a la carte menu with the speciality being local freshly-caught seafood. You can enjoy a cool and refreshing cocktail taking in the magnificent view of the ocean and dhows sailing by.
