Cinco Portas guesthouse is situated on the water’s edge with amazing views over Ibo Island's mangrove channels. These beautifully restored old buildings are set around a swimming pool and tranquil garden. Accommodation consists of three Terrace rooms each with en-suite bathroom, one smaller traditional room with en-suite bathroom and a three-roomed Manor House / dormitory with one sharing bathroom which can sleep 8 people. The restaurant offers a good menu, and the food we hear, is absolutely excellent. The fully licensed bar serves soft drinks, spirits, and beers.
Optional activities can be arranged such as snorkeling, beach trips, walks, tours, kayaking and dhow sailing. Cinco Portas offers inexpensive motorised boat transfers from Tandanhangue on the mainland to Ibo island and transfers from the air strip to the guesthouse at $5 per person each way.

Cinco Portas is located in Bairro Cimento, the town area of Ibo Island.
Kaskazini can arrange air transfers from Pemba, a scenic 25 minute flight over the Quirimba islands, which is by far the fastest and most convenient option to Ibo.
The other alternative is a rather long and bumpy drive to Tadanhangue, close to Quissanga, from where you can catch a dhow. Remember the boats can only cross at high tide.
We also offer safe, reliable 4x4 road transfers that take approximately 2,5 hours in the dry season and as long as 5 hours in the wet season, followed by a one hour motorised boat trip to the island.
