Coral Lodge is quite simply fabulous. Whether you are on your honeymoon or looking for a family vacation. Choose from sea front villas with the infinite sea-view or the more sheltered villas in amongst the dunes and the mangroves and watch the tides sweep in and out of the lagoon with historic Ilha de Mocambique in the distance. Coral Lodge has 10 luxury, modern, and sophisticated villas, each 100m² with en-suite bathroom with bath and twin basins; a lounge area and a large veranda. There are two family villas which can accommodate families. The canopy beds in the villas have the innovative Evening Breeze cooling system which allows you to control the temperature in your bed at the touch of a button, and the shutters in the rooms can be adjusted to control the flow of the breeze from outside.
Although meals can be served pretty much anywhere, the bar and restaurant is located near the infinity swimming pool and is called the Reef. From this location on the tip of the peninsula, you can enjoy lovely views of traditional sailing boats sailing past, hopefully with the fresh catches of seafood that will be served up in the restaurant.
Activities at Coral Lodge are plentiful. To keep busy, you can go dive and explore the underwater delights on the nearby reefs or visit the wrecks of the sunken 17th Century Portuguese vessels. There is still a lot of old porcelain lying on the ocean bed. Alternatively there is fabulous snorkelling in the lagoon, with a myriad of colourful fish to play with. An unforgetable way to explore the mangroves is by canoe at high tide. Humpback whales can be seen between July and October and their jumping frivolous play is a sight to behold. Guests are welcome to visit local villages where they can stroll through the local market, visit a family and learn about the traditional lives of the Macuan people. Guests can also admire the traditional craftsmanship or attend a Tufa singing and dancing performance.
A visit to Ilha de Moçambique should not be missed during your stay at Coral Lodge 15.41.
