Ulala Lodge, only 20 minutes south of Pemba, offers beach accommodation in rusting bungalows on the endless white sands of beautiful Murrébuè beach.
Ulala is eco-friendly, powering their lodge with a mixture of solar panels for the hot water and energy from a wind turbine on the property. The lodge itself has been constructed using all local materials. The owners, Emmanuelle and Georges are known for their fantastic hospitality. They will prepare super meals for you with a mix of French and local flair, enjoyed in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
There are cosy double and twin chalets available, all en-suite with hot water, large mosquito nets, a safe, and all rooms have a sea view. They also have a couple of stilt bungalows 50m from the sea with a big king size bed, built on a 2m high platform – privacy, an amazing view, and cool sea breeze guaranteed. Activities include volleyball, badminton, blow pipe, archery and beach walks. Visits to local village can be arranged.
