Kwalala Lodge is a small, friendly, self-catering establishment nestled on the shores of Nacala Bay with four airy stone lodges.  Each lodge, apart from the glorious sea views, has its own kitchen, dining and lounge area and an air-conditioned bedroom with en-suite shower room.  If you do not want to cater for yourselves, the Thirsty Whale bar and restaurant is open 7 days a week, offering breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and of course, is the best place to be with a long cold drink to witness the spectacular sunsets over Nacala Bay.   All the ingredients in the restaurant are locally sourced and the seafood is freshly caught. 

Kwalala offers a range of activities from the Pelago Adventure Centre including scuba diving, PADI diving courses, snorkelling, deep sea fishing, dhow sailing, boat hire and sea kayaking. 

Rates from:  $140 per double room per night. Breakfast is charged extra.

Kwalala Lodge is located on the inside of Nacala Bay, 200km from Nampula and the trip takes approximately 2 hours by road. Turn left at the air base and follow the signs to the lodge.

Road transfers from Nampula or Pemba can be arranged.
